free practice session in Hungary The
Spanish driver of Kurdish origin has finished first today at the
wheel of the Chevrolet Corvette C6/ZR1 entered by Selleslagh Racing
Team by Barzani, as the International GT Open has officially begun
today at Hungaroring. Good start to the weekend with Saturday´s race
scheduled tomorrow at 16.00 (CET). |

Tutumlu and Barzani Racing Team have started in the best way possible their
participation at Hungaroring: on top of the timesheets at the Hungarian
track. During yesterday´s private tests both Tutumlu and his teammate Maxime
Soulet finished 4th and today proved to be another positive day for them and
how valuable this weekend may be for their title chances. In the first
practice session Tutumlu clocked a time of 1:46.082, good enough to finish
on top at the end in the cumulative ranking. Later, in FP2, they were
fourth-fastest with a lap of 1:46.681.
 "We
have tried out various set-up changes today. In the second session there was
room for improvement but the changes made didn´t work as expected. But
finishing first makes us optimistic for tomorrow. We will have a competitive
car, because it is quick when qualifying and its race pace also seems
promising. Our handicap is another good thing this time, because of our
results is Jerez. So our chances are quite good. Tomorrow it will be
important to get a good starting spot in order to push from the beginning" ,
Tutumlu said immediately after finishing today´s FP2.
Tomorrow the first qualifying session starts at 09.15 and the second one
at 11.40. Race one - 70 minutes- is due to start at 16.00 (CET).

El piloto español de
raíces kurdas ha sido el más rápido al volante del Chevrolet
Corvette C6/ZR1 de Selleslagh Racing Team by Barzani en los
entrenamientos libres del International GT Open en Hungaroring. Buen
comienzo ante la primera carrera del fin de semana que se celebrará

Isaac
Tutumlu y Barzani Racing Team han comenzado de la mejor manera posible en
Hungaroring: comandando la clasificación de tiempos en el circuito húngaro.
En los entrenamientos privados de ayer jueves, tanto Tutumlu como su
compañero Maxime Soulet ya terminaron en cuarta posición y hoy han vuelto a
ratificar que Hungría puede ser un fin de semana muy provechoso para los
intereses de ambos. En la primera sesión Tutumlu ha logrado un tiempo de
1:46.082, suficiente para ser el más rápido en la general del día. En la
segunda sesión ha terminado en cuarta posición con una vuelta de 1:46.681.
"Hemos
podido probar muchas cosas durante todo el día. En la segunda sesión pudimos
haber terminado más arriba pero hicimos algunos cambios que no funcionaron
tal y como esperábamos. Pero la primera posición del día nos hacer ser muy
optimistas. Tenemos un gran coche tanto para clasificación como para carrera.
Además, al tener un hándicap más reducido que en Jerez, nuestras opciones
también aumentan. Será importante tener una buena posición de salida en
parrilla para poder atacar desde el principio" , ha explicado el
piloto nada más bajarse del coche.
Mañana la primera sesión de clasificación será a las 9.15 y la segunda a
las 11.40. La primera carrera, de setenta minutos de duración, será a las
16.00.
